Disney Lorcana Attack of the Vine: Everything You Need to Know (Set 13)

Disney Lorcana’s Attack of the Vine is Set 13: 207 numbered cards, prereleased at local game stores on July 17, 2026, and released everywhere on July 24. It’s the culmination of a year-long storyline, it’s built around Team cards that put two characters on one card, and it’s the set that rotated Core Constructed. Hyperia City, Set 14, released on October 23, and Attack of the Vine stays legal in Core alongside it. Last updated: October 25, 2026.

The Story: A Living Threat Spreads

The set’s villain is the Vine, which Ravensburger describes as soaking up the realm’s ink in the culmination of the year-long storyline. It’s a darker tone than most Lorcana sets, and the Vine shows up on the table as 13 Vineling characters.

The Big Idea: Team Cards

A Team card puts two characters on one card, such as Sulley & Boo. Team is a new classification (16 cards), and a Team card counts as either of its names for Shift, so a Sulley & Boo can shift onto a Sulley or a Boo.

New Shift Variants and Mechanics

• Duo Shift — Requires two separate characters, one for each name. Mickey Mouse & Minnie Mouse, Adventuring Duo has a Duo Shift cost of 0.
• Combo Shift — Can use one character or both. Dash Parr & Violet Parr, Super Siblings and Sulley & Boo, Scare Buddies have it.
• Temporary Shift — A cheaper Shift whose card returns to your hand at the end of the turn. Meilin Lee, Popular Red Panda, Ming Lee, Giant Red Panda, and Grandma Wu, Fierce Red Panda have it, and Sun Yee, Red Panda Spirit has Temporary Red Panda Shift.
• Potato Shift — A one-off: Posey, Vampire Potato can shift onto an item named Potato.
• Hunny — A 15-card classification. Christopher Robin, Hunny Sage lets you play other Hunny characters in your deck regardless of ink, but he can only be played in an Amethyst/Sapphire deck himself.
• Dual Ink — 16 cards belong to two inks, and you can include one only if your deck plays both. Fifteen of them are Team cards.

Chase Cards

The set’s top chase cards are its two Iconics: Lilo & Stitch, Fun-Loving Friends (Amber/Steel) and Belle & Beast, Certain as the Sun (Ruby/Sapphire). Team cards also dominate the Enchanted rarity: fourteen of the 18 Enchanteds are Team cards, and eleven of the twelve most valuable cards in the set are Teams. The Winnie the Pooh & Piglet Enchanted and the Mike Wazowski Enchanted are other highlights.

As ever, the best way to get a specific card is as a single, and pack opening is best treated as entertainment.

Booster packs and display boxes — Standard product, with 24 packs per display.

Illumineer’s Trove — 8 booster packs, 6 damage-counter dice, a spin-dial lore counter, a storage box, and card dividers.

Prerelease Box — Sold at store prerelease events: six booster packs, four damage dice, an exclusive poster, and one random promo card. The prerelease window is over.

Rotation and Formats

Attack of the Vine was the rotation set for Core Constructed. From its release, Core allows cards from Fabled onward: Fabled, Whispers in the Well, Winterspell, Wilds Unknown, and Attack of the Vine, with an exception for older cards that were reprinted later. Hyperia City is now Core-legal too. Infinity Constructed keeps almost the entire card pool.

What Came Next: Hyperia City (Set 14)

Hyperia City, Disney Lorcana’s 14th set, had store prerelease events on October 16 and released everywhere on October 23, 2026. It’s set in a metropolis where urban life meets fantasy, with 12-card booster packs and 204 numbered cards (242 printings including Epic, Enchanted, and Iconic). Highlights:

• Coco debuts with Miguel Rivera, Héctor Rivera, and Pepita.
• Zootopia and Big Hero 6 return, with Judy Hopps, Nick Wilde, Honey Lemon, and Baymax.
• Ink drops are the new mechanic: temporary ink that any color pair can make, worth 1 ink each, which leaves the game once spent.
• Two Iconics: Mickey Mouse, Best in Town and Cinderella, Unintentional Icon.
• Products: booster displays, an Illumineer’s Trove, a 2-Player Starter Set (Baymax’s Technically Terrific vs. Madam Mim’s Madcap Whimsy), and prerelease boxes.

After that, Into the Inkdark (Set 15) has its prerelease on February 5 and releases on February 12, 2027, and it adds collector boosters.
